Our leadership team prayerfully discussed what the church and community needs right now, and the result is a brand new expository series of messages which are practical for what we're all going through in these unprecedented times. On top of that we are keenly aware of the very real toll this whole thing is taking on our emotional well-being. With that in mind our Pastor, a longtime minister corrections and emergency Chaplain, and counselor has made himself available for video and phone counseling to meet the needs of our membership and community. Reach out to us if we can help you emotionally, practically, or spiritually. Our elders are also available to assist you in whatever ways they can. Our ministry has not stopped, and our love for our people and our community is as strong and steadfast as ever. Even if you only want us to pray for you, please let us know. CKCC's ministry extends way beyond its walls, and we intend to demonstrate the love of Jesus one person, one family at a time - even in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. We believe our Lord is bigger than all this, and that He can and will help each of us who sincerely want His help.
Some of our community outreach includes our GYM (God Yielding Men) gatherings which are held typically the 1st Saturday of each month at 8am for breakfast and very practical teaching on Godly Manhood subjects. We, also have an active Hearts & Hands women's ministry which meets at noon on Tuesdays. We have an active Sunday School, a midweek Bible Study, and will soon start up new and exciting youth groups. We host a monthly community Small Business Market typically on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 10am to 3pm, as well. October 31 from 6-8pm we host our annual Wittenberg Carnival, which is a safe and fun Halloween alternative (no costumes or Halloween anything) with games, loads of game prizes and usually thousands of dollars of free door prizes to win. Addtionally, we do celebrate Purim each year around March/April. This is the time we do wear costumes and enjoy some great food, sweet fellowship for the whole family, and listen to the timeless story of God's sovereignty as told in the historical book of Esther. This is an interactive story with kids very involved.
Watch our local announcements for other community involvement. We always pray for more opportunities to positively impact our community for Jesus!
