Greetings, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about this church and its leadership. I work with the current elders to pray, strategize and plan for the good health of the church and the effective outreach to and for the community. It's an honor to serve alongside my Christian family in the Silverdale/Bremerton area, as I deliver the messages on Sundays, provide counseling during the week, and always welcome more opportunities to pray, study and teach.
I've been an evangelist with the title, "lead pastor," for well-over 30 years, 20+ in Washington State. My experience includes dairy farming; owning and operating a small business; public school teaching; leading a private school (8+ years as the highest-level administrator); managing multisite offices for counseling, consulting, writing, pastoring, and more; serving in short-term foreign and domestic missions; writing a weekly newspaper column (since 2007); blogging; podcasting; leading revivals and seminars; teaching on college campuses and in churches internationally and nationally; working as a mechanic; and even being a school bus driver (one of my favorite jobs). Most recently, I was privaleged to minister to incarcerated individuals and staff in the Washington State Department of Corrections as a Chaplain (also as an Emergency Responder Chaplain for a local community). In a recently published seminary textbook, I was utilized as an expert on the back cover, recommending said textbook (BIVOCATIONAL MINISTRY for the sake of the Gospel, by Dr. Michael Kennedy). In addition to serving as pastor for CKCC, I currently serve a local school district as an administrator, as well; and I still counsel, provide consultation to church leadership, blog, podcast, write a weekly newspaper column, teach, lecture, and love opportunities to do short-term mission work. Additionally, I'm a weight-lifter, avid outdoorsman, and a longtime Lions Club Member. My wife of 35 years, Stephanie, and I enjoy the fellowship with CKCC, and look forward to every Sunday.
I proudly spent my first four years of undergraduate seminary training with Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. Since then I've had the honor to study with Houston Christian University (formerly Houston Baptist University), Northwest College of the Bible, Central Washington University, and others. Stop by and meet us on the CKCC campus sometime, or park your car in the parking lot and listen to our FM broadcast to ensure safe social distancing. Either way, we'd love to have you!
"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good for those who are called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28, ESV
My name is Dan Hamilton. My wife, Marcie, and I moved to Kitsap County in 2015, after 29 years of ministry with Pleasant Valley Christian Camp. I'm a graduate of Puget Sound Christian College and have a love for the Word of God and the message of God's love it communicates. I enjoy helping others learn to study and apply God's Word to their lives. I feel blessed to be a part of God's family and want others to experience that blessing too! My hope is that you'll find Central Kitsap Christian Church a place to plug in, get connected, and find God's purpose for your life.
I was born June 29th 1951, raised in California and graduated with an Engineering Degree from California Polytechnic State University in 1979, after which I loaded up my pickup truck with all my worldly possessions and moved to Washington. My hobbies are woodworking, bicycling, hiking and taking old things apart. I met my wife Barbara and we started attending Central in November of 1986, marrying April 25, 1987 and have been faithful attenders ever since. On December 1st 1991, I was Baptized into Christ. For the past 30+ years I have worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in various departments and as of March 2011, I am retired. I currently serve as a Church Elder, Treasurer, and Adult Sunday School Teacher. Central has given Barbara and myself a church family where we can worship, sing, pray, study and fellowship with each other..
